it will be great if we could extract vocals from tracks. i heard some tutorial saying if we had a copy of a song with vocal and another same song without vocal (in terms of both songs having the same quality), you can actually extract the vocal out from there. i wonder if FL is capable of doing that?
@hdog187 – FL Studio 9.5 (beta). 9.6 is out now.
@frostedcornflakes – You are probably trying to deselect the wrong thing? Drop into Looptalk where we can help you out.
why can’t i deselect the master send?? im using FL9.
@imageline Seems to work, if only precise aligning would be easier…
Thanks anyway, looks like I’ll never stop learning about FL Studio, LOL.
@Pyropath666 – You align the vocal and music only versions so they are sample-perfect-time aligned. That is, the two recordings start and stop at the exact same time. Then you simply invert the phase of the music track. Use the phase inverst switch on the Mixer channel. See the ‘Mixer track properties’ section of the manual.
Since precise alignment is required you may need to do this in Edison to see the waveform view at high zoom
@imageline Phase-Cancel one audio clip AGAINST another? I am not sure how you mean that…
@hdog187 – FL Studio 9.5 Beta.
what fl studio are they using?? 8 or 9?
@YannickzTV – This method will work perfectly with some music tracks (if you are lucky!). All depends on the panning of the vocals and stereo effects used on them as the video shows.
Is there a way to completely remove it?
really really sooooper..ure really a guru of FL studio…Thumbs up..
@9990906081 – You can try a high pass EQ. Play with the cutoff frequency until you hear mainly the vocal.
thr is any option to remove beats ?
@imageline well that worked lol. but i still here vocals. guess it works for some songs.
@imageline – We just annotated the video with some hints.
@acedaface954 – Make sure the ‘Remove conflicts’ switch is OFF on the link-0dialog pop-up.
i hit a roadblock. when ever i try to join both the lows from the maximi or the highs only the last maximi i linked to the controller is linked to it while the other does nothing.
@imageline – ALSO watch the video carefully we actually throw up a note about deselecting the Master send.
@DJJesse1986 – Search for our video on sidechaining. You see a lot of routing discussed there.
@imageline i mean ”reverse polarity”! sorry
@imageline to add on to my last comment i ment if you line up the original and the one you made without vocals, you can invert one or both not sure how it works then get just the vocals by this process
Take the original then invert the one that has the vocals cut.. yay then you just have the vocals… i think
@imageline surely you can. Take the original then invert the one that has the vocals cut.. yay then you just have the vocals… i think
AWESOME VIDEO!
